MP Falk Highlights Parent and Grandparent Program Launch

Ottawa, ON – Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher, today highlighted the launch of the 2020 Parents and Grandparents (PGP) Program.

The PGP Program enables Canadians and permanent residents who wish to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada to submit an interest to sponsor form online. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will randomly select potential sponsors and then send them an invitation to submit an application. There will be 1 round of invitations to apply in 2020, with a maximum of 10,000 applications accepted for processing.

“There are many immigrant families in our region who would like to sponsor their parents or grandparents,” said Falk. “The PGP Program is an excellent pathway for families to reunite in Canada.”

Interested sponsors can submit an interest to sponsor form from 12 PM EDT on October 13, 2020, to 12 PM EST on November 3, 2020 by visiting IRCC’s website.
