HAPPY CANADA DAY!
On July 1, Canadians will gather together to celebrate Canada’s 149th Birthday.
Over the past 149 years, we have built a prosperous nation, based on the principles of freedom, democracy and the rule of law.
Canada Day is a chance for us, whether here at home or around the world, to show our Canadian pride. It is a day to look back at all that we have accomplished and an opportunity to reflect on how blessed and thankful we are to live and raise a family in the greatest country in the world.
Canada is a nation strong and free and we have inherited this legacy from the incredible sacrifices and determination of those who have gone before us. We have fought tyranny and opposed injustice around the world and we continue to remember those who sacrificed everything to defend the freedoms that we all enjoy today.
Today is also an opportunity to look forward and to dream about what we want our country to look like in the future, while always keeping in mind the values and principles that have brought us this far. As Canadians, we alone have the responsibility to shape our future.
As we enter our 150th year, we thank God for blessing Canada and ask that He would continue to show His favour on us as a Nation. There is so much to be thankful for and we have every reason imaginable to proudly call ourselves Canadian.
With all this in mind I would like to wish everyone a very happy Canada Day!
Le 1er juillet, les Canadiens se rassembleront pour célébrer le 149e anniversaire du Canada.
Au cours de 149 dernières années, nous avons bâti une nation prospère, fondée sur les principes de la liberté, de la démocratie et de la primauté du droit.
La fête du Canada est l’occasion pour nous de montrer notre fierté d’être Canadiens, que nous soyons ici ou à l’étranger. C’est le moment de réfléchir à tout ce que nous avons accompli et de prendre un moment pour réaliser notre chance de vivre dans le meilleur pays au monde et de pouvoir y élever nos familles.
Le Canada est un pays fort et libre, et nous devons cet héritage aux sacrifices et à la détermination incroyables de ceux qui nous ont précédés. Nous avons lutté contre la tyrannie et nous sommes opposés à l’injustice dans le monde, et nous nous souvenons de ceux qui ont tout sacrifié pour défendre les libertés dont nous jouissons aujourd’hui.
La fête du Canada, c’est aussi l’occasion de nous tourner vers l’avenir et de rêver au Canada de demain tout en gardant à l’esprit les valeurs et principes qui nous ont menés jusqu’ici. Nous, les Canadiens, sommes les seuls responsables de notre avenir.
Alors que nous entamons notre 150e année, nous remercions Dieu d’avoir béni le Canada et lui demandons de continuer de veiller sur notre nation. Nous avons tant de raisons d’être reconnaissants et nous avons toutes les raisons d’afficher fièrement notre identité canadienne.
