MP TED FALK COMMENTS ON EXPERIENCING AIR RAIDS IN JERUSALEM

Jerusalem.  Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher today issued the following statement during his visit to the middle east.

“Tonight in Jerusalem, sirens filled the air with the warning of an incoming rocket. I have seen firsthand that these warnings and attacks are becoming increasingly common in Israel.

This week, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird called for a restoration of calm and an end to the cycle of violence and vigilantism. He also urged the new Palestinian government to exercise its authority in Gaza and bring an immediate end to Hamas’s rocket attacks on Israel.

I remain in safe quarters, and throughout my travels through the Middle East I will continue to keep the Prime Minister and Minister Baird apprised of this tense situation.”
